Eli was born on the luxury world of Zeltros in 44 BBY to an Upper-Middle Class family, though little else is known about his upbringing. He was discovered by a Jedi who presented him before the Jedi Council on Coruscant. Sensing his strong connection to The Force, Eli was accepted into the Jedi Order by the age of 5 (39 BBY), and after participating in a Jedi Temple Apprentice Tournament, was selected by The 1st Master to be his Padawan by the age of 7 (37 BBY). Eli was a quick learner, and was particularly skilled in mastering lesser-used Force Powers, such as: Force Protection, Force Absorption, and on a few notable occasions, Shatterpoints. He spent much of his time in the Jedi Archives, reviewing Jedi Holocrons from masters from long ago and often requested the Chief Librarian, Jocasta Nu, tell him new stories from the Holocrons in the Archives when he was usually too busy to view them himself.

In the year 33 BBY (11 Years Old by now) Eli, who had been meditating on a Lightsaber Crystal in the Crystal Cave on Dantooine, was far from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant when the Yinchorri’s Assault on the Jedi Temple occurred, during the Yinchorri Uprising. Eli’s teacher, The 1st Master, was killed by a dual attack from the Yinchorri while engaged in a 2-on-1 struggle. Unavailable and unaware of the event at the time, Eli was informed of his Master’s death when he returned to Coruscant. Discretely mourning his Master’s death and blaming himself for the occurrence, Eli became fascinated with the idea of ‘Eternal Life’ and the concept of war as a whole – for a time, even questioning his own allegiance to the Jedi Order and The Republic. Deciding that continuing his Jedi training would be in the best interest of the Galaxy, (and with the persuasion of Master Yoda) and to prevent others from suffering such losses as well, Eli began to study the Force power of Battle Meditation. During this time, Ki-Adi Mundi replaced The 1st Master.

Having practiced with a Youngling/Jedi Initiate’s Training Lightsaber on BCA-11/X Lightsaber Practice Droids for several years, even near the end of his Youngling years, Eli had already mastered multiple forms of combat, including: Form IV “Ataru”, Form V “Shien/Djem So”, Tràkata, and Form VI “Niman”. By 22 BBY, Eli was a much more patient and seasoned Jedi than when he first arrived at the Temple, and was an active General in the Clone Wars now that he was 22 years old. Between field duty, Eli, along with Megara, Larissa Iris, Arun Corliss, Zao Van and sometimes Lleven Corpus too, were sent on various missions to bring down the Primal, Force-Sensitive Sith cult, “The Revived Sith”.
